Course of the areola reduction in Vienna
The surgical procedure to reduce the extension of the areola is carried out under local anaesthesia or general anaesthesia, depending on the extent. It can be performed in combination with other breast operations (e.g. breast lift, breast augmentation, breast reduction). If only a separate procedure without breast surgery is carried out, the operation can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia.
